Timeline of History

The Old Testament Era

The birth, life, death, burial, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus Christ

Pentecost which was the birth of the Church Age

The Rapture: This concludes the Church Age

Jesus returns in the clouds and catches away His church from the earth and takes her into heaven.

The Judgment Seat of Christ:

The works of the redeemed from the Church Age are judged and rewards are given.

The Tribulation Period: a period of 7 years when God pours out

His wrath and Judgment on the earth.

This period starts with a signing of a covenant between the Antichrist and Israel that establishes false peace between Israel and her neighbors.

 This period is divided into two three and a half year periods.

The first half is referred to as the Tribulation period.

The second half is referred to as the Great Tribulation.

The Battles of Gog and Magog: A series of battles fought throughout the Tribulation period between the Antichrist and Israel

against a coalition of Islamic and European nations.

The Battle of Armageddon: Final great battle as all the nations of the world, led by the Antichrist and the False Prophet wage war against the nation of Israel.

In Heaven: The Marriage Supper of the Lamb occurs while the end

                           of the Great Tribulation is occurring on the earth.     

The Second Coming of Jesus: Jesus returns physically to the earth.

He puts an end to the Battle of Armageddon by destroying

all the enemies of Israel.

The Antichrist and False Prophet are cast into the Lake of Fire.

Jesus has Satan bound in a bottomless pit for 1000 years.

The Judgment of the Sheep and Goats: Jesus divides the lost from the righteous and destroys all the lost/unrighteous.

The Millennial Reign of Christ: Jesus establishes His earthly Kingdom for 1000 years.

The living righteous enter the Kingdom along with the raptured/resurrected righteous from the OT and the Church Age,

and the resurrected Tribulation Saints.

At the conclusion of the Millennial Kingdom:      

Satan is loosed and wages one last war against Christ.

Jesus wins, destroys all those who followed Satan,

and cast Satan into the Lake of Fire.

All of creation is uncreated and passes away with fervent heat.

The Great White Throne Judgment: The unrighteous/lost dead of all time are brought out Hades and resurrected to stand in judgment

before Christ.

They are then cast into the Lake of Fire.

God creates a New Heaven and a New Earth

The New Jerusalem descends from God out of heaven and

sits upon the New Earth.

The Saints of all the ages enter the New Jerusalem

This is the Saints eternal home.
