What We Believe
Reaching our World for Christ & Discipling them, One Person at a Time
As a conservative Southern Baptist church, Wassamassaw Baptist is committed to the Christian faith and as part of the Southern Baptist Convention, we subscribe to the beliefs outlined in the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.
We believe that the Bible is God’s inspired Word, without error, and our only authority.
We believe that Jesus Christ offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for sin by dying on the cross. Then by rising from the dead, He demonstrated His defeat of sin and death so that we could be forgiven and gain an eternal relationship with God.
We believe that the church is used by God to bring the good news of Christ to this broken world.
We believe that Jesus will return to this earth for His people. People were created by God to live forever. People will either live eternally separated from God or eternally with God.

Our vision
Our focus as a church is not on a religious institution, but on people – loving people with God’s love by reaching our surrounding community for Jesus and helping them grow as disciples of Jesus Christ. Our mission as a church is to connect people to the Living Water, Jesus Christ.
Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is that is saying to you, ‘Give me a drink,’ you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.” John 4:10
