The Sufficiency of Christ and His Word to Help with the Problems of Life
2 Timothy 3:16-17
16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
2 Peter 1:2-3
2 Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord,
3 as His divine power has given to us all things
that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue,
1 Corinthians 1:30
But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God —
and righteousness and sanctification and redemption —
2 Corinthians 12:9-10
9 And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities,
that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake.
For when I am weak, then I am strong.
Ephesians 1:3
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with
every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,
Colossians 2:9-10
9 For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; 10 and you are complete in Him,
who is the head of all principality and power.
2 Corinthians 9:8
8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things,
may have an abundance for every good work.
Colossians 2:2-3
2 that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God,
both of the Father and of Christ,
3 in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
John 17:17
17 Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.
Psalms 119:24
24 Your testimonies also are my delight and my counselors.
Isaiah 28:29
29 This also comes from the LORD of hosts, Who is wonderful in counsel and excellent in guidance.
Isaiah 9:6
6 For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor,
Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Mark 13:31
31 Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.
James 1:25
25 But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work,
this one will be blessed in what he does.
All of Psalm 119
Psalms 19:7-14
7 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul; The testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple;
8 The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; The commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes;
9 The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever;
The judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.
10 More to be desired are they than gold, Yea, than much fine gold; Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
11 Moreover by them Your servant is warned, And in keeping them there is great reward.
12 Who can understand his errors? Cleanse me from secret faults.
13 Keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins; Let them not have dominion over me.
Then I shall be blameless,
And I shall be innocent of great transgression.
14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight,
O LORD, my strength and my Redeemer.
James 1:25
25 But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work,
this one will be blessed in what he does.
Matthew 28:19-20
19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.
2 Timothy 4:2-4
2 Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires,
because they have itching ears,
they will heap up for themselves teachers;
4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.
1 Thessalonians 5:14
14 Now we exhort you, brethren, warn those who are unruly,
comfort the fainthearted, uphold the weak, be patient with all.
Galatians 6:1-2
6:1 Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted.
2 Carry each other's burdens,
and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
1 Corinthians 6:1-3
Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unrighteous,
and not before the saints?
2 Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world will be judged by you,
are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters?
3 Do you not know that we shall judge angels? How much more, things that pertain to this life?
