Prayer, Rooted and Grounded in Love 

Ephesians 3:14-20

Ephesians 3:14-16
For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,

15 from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,

16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory,
to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man,

2 Corinthians 4:7-12

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power
may be of God and not of us.

8 We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed;

we are perplexed, but not in despair;

9 persecuted, but not forsaken;

struck down,
but not destroyed —

10 always carrying about in the body
the dying of the Lord Jesus,
that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body.

11 For we who live
are always delivered to death for Jesus' sake, that the life of Jesus
also may be manifested in our mortal flesh.

12 So then death is working in us, but life in you.

Philippians 4:11-13

11 Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content:

12 I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry,
both to abound
and to suffer need.

13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. NKJV

2 Corinthians 4:16-18

Therefore we do not lose heart.
Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.

17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment,
is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory,

18 while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen.
For the things which are seen are temporary,
but the things which are not seen are eternal. NKJV

2 Corinthians 9:8

8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you,
always having all sufficiency in all things,
may have an abundance for every good work. NKJV

Ephesians 3:14-17

17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, NKJV

Matthew 22:35-40

35 Then one of them, a lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him, and saying,

36 "Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?" 37 Jesus said to him, "'You shall love the LORD your God

with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.' 38 This is the first and great commandment.

39 And the second is like it:
'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'

40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets." NKJV

Romans 13:8-10
Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law.

9 For the commandments, "You shall not commit adultery," "You shall not murder,"
"You shall not steal,"
"You shall not bear false witness,"
"You shall not covet,"
and if there is any other commandment,
are all summed up in this saying,

namely,

"You shall love your neighbor as yourself."

10 Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. NKJV

John 14:15

"If you love Me, keep My commandments. NKJV

John 14:21

21 He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me.
And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him." NKJV

John 14:23

"If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word;
and My Father will love him,
and We will come to him and make Our home with him. NKJV

Ephesians 3:14-21

17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love,

18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height —

19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think,
according to the power that works in us,

21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus
to all generations,
forever and ever. Amen. NKJV
