The Church Jesus Builds will be a Loving Fellowship

Acts 2:41-42

41 Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them.

42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship,
NKJV

Acts 2:1

When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. NKJV

Acts 2:46
46 So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house,
they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, NKJV

Acts 4:24

24 So when they heard that,
they raised their voice to God with one accord and said: ... NKJV

Acts 4:32
Now the multitude of those who believed were of one heart and one soul; neither did anyone say that any of the things he possessed was his own,

but they had all things in common. NKJV

Acts 5:12

And through the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were done among the people.
And they were all with one accord in Solomon's Porch. NKJV

Acts 8:5-6

5 Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria and preached Christ to them.

6 And the multitudes with one accord heeded the things spoken by Philip, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did.
NKJV

Acts 15:25
25 it seemed good to us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men to you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul, NKJV

John 17:20-23

"I do not pray for these alone,
but also for those who will believe in Me through their word;

21 that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us,
that the world may believe that You sent Me.

22 And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one:

23 I in them, and You in Me;
that they may be made perfect in one,
and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me. NKJV

Deuteronomy 6:4
4 "Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one! NKJV

Philippians 1:27-28

Only let your conduct be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent,
I may hear of your affairs,
that you stand fast in one spirit,
with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel,

28 and not in any way terrified by your adversaries, which is to them a proof of perdition,
but to you of salvation,
and that from God.

Philippians 2:1-4

Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love,
if any fellowship of the Spirit,
if any affection and mercy,

2 fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love,
being of one accord,
of one mind.

3 Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind
let each esteem others better than himself.

4 Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.

Ephesians 1:15-16

Therefore I also,
after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints,

16 do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers:

Ephesians 4:1-6

I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you
to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called,

2 with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering,

bearing with one another in love,
3 endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

4 There is one body and one Spirit,
just as you were called in one hope of your calling;

5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism;

6 one God and Father of all, who is above all,
and through all,
and in you all.

Colossians 3:12-15

Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering;

13 bearing with one another,
and forgiving one another,
if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you,
so you also must do.

14 But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection.

15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.

How To Destroy the Unity of the Church

Proverbs 6:16-19

16 These six things the LORD hates, Yes, seven are an abomination to Him:

17 A proud look,
A lying tongue,
Hands that shed innocent blood,

18 A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that are swift in running to evil,

19 A false witness who speaks lies,
And one who sows discord among brethren.

Galatians 5:19-25

19 The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery;

20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord,
jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions

21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before,

that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness,

faithfulness,
23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires.

25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. NIV

Gossip

Romans 1:29-31

29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity.
They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips,

30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful;
they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents;

31 they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless. NIV

James 3:6

6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body,
and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell.

UNFORGIVENESS

Colossians 3:12-15

12 So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved,
put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience;

13 bearing with one another,
and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you,
so also should you.

14 Beyond all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity.

15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful.
NASU

1 Corinthians 13:4-8

4 Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant,

5 does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own,

is not provoked,
does not take into account a wrong suffered,

6 does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth;

7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

8 Love never fails; NASU
