What We Believe

Reaching our World for Christ & Discipling them, One Person at a Time

GOD
God is our Creator, Ruler, and Sustainer. He eternally exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God expressed in three persons.
JESUS CHRIST
Jesus Christ is God’s only Son. He is co-eternal with the Father and Spirit.  God became man in the Person of Jesus Christ, was born of a virgin, and lived a sinless life. He offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for sin by dying on the cross. He arose from the dead demonstrating His defeat of sin and death.  He ascended to Heaven and will return to earth as King of kings and Lord of lords.
THE HOLY SPIRIT
The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and Son. He is present in the world to convince people that they are sinners in need of a Savior, that Jesus Christ is the only Savior who can transform their lives through repentance and faith in Him.  The Holy Spirit indwells every believer, and gives them power for service, insight into understanding God’s Word, and guidance for godly living.
THE BIBLE
The Bible is God’s Truth to us. It was written by human authors over a period of 1600 years as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. It is our only authority for what we believe and what we do.  The Bible is God’s inspired Word without any mixture of error.
SALVATION
Man can never come to God by his own effort and good works.  God had to come to man through the Person of Jesus Christ.  Through Jesus’ death on the cross and resurrection from the dead, we can be rescued from our sins and be forgiven.  Salvation is God’s free gift to us.  When a person turns from his sins and turns to Jesus Christ by faith, he is saved from his sins and receives at that moment eternal life.
THE FUTURE
People were created by God to live forever.  People will either live eternally separated from God or eternally with God.  To spend eternity separated from God is Hell. To spend eternity with God is Heaven.  The Bible teaches that both Heaven and Hell are real places.
